For me, it's a huge enhancement. Due to BA's 17 inch seats, I was always cramped with the side of the table digging into my thigh. I stopped flying BA within Europe because of that darn table preventing me from raising the arm rest and getting more comfortable. I can deal with the horrible pitch (though I hate it with purple passion) and the often subpar and repetitve food. I couldn't deal with being boxed in from all sides.
