Today I called the SPG Platinum Line, and spoke to a person who was not a Plat agent. He said that the Plat Line phone number had been discontinued.

I had to update my credit card details against an existing resveration. Normally I would do this on the web, but the website is so shaky I didn't want to risk losing my two hotel reservations.

He claimed that he could not look up my reservations unless I gave him a booking number.

This agent was so unprofessional that I was worried my confirmed reservations would be cancelled due to either malice or ineptness. The conversation ended when he hung up on me midsentence.
