Correlation between exit row occupancy and upgrade chances?
Just wondering if you could use the exit row occupancy on AA.com to predict whether or not your certificate upgrades will clear, given that exit rows are typically reserved by elites (who would be competing with you for upgrades). For example, on flights where the exit rows have been booked full on AA.com have been very hard to upgrade as a PLT, but when the exit rows are empty then I've usually had an easy time. Has anyone else noticed this? YMMV.
