But that was my point: They
don't "share that responsibility". Their offer made clear that the responsibility is the consumer's, and if the consumer doesn't want all that responsibility, they gave the consumer a way to shift some of that responsibility to the insurer. We consumers demand value for price paid, and in doing so we drive the construction of product and service specifications. The cruise lines are perfectly happy to offer a different proposition - we don't want that. We want the cheaper price, and we clearly don't care that it means that that extra responsibility is ours.
