The Hilton is pretty hard to beat, in terms of convenience at the airport - you access the lift to it near middle of the "new" International terminal area, 3rd level. As a hotel, it's OK, and status can help - perhaps an upgraded room if the hotel isn't stacked like cordwood with guests
(the lowest category rooms are old and small,) and breakfast in the restaurant, plus a late checkout. And a very short walk after the lift to check in for your flight.
OTOH, the lounge is pretty nice, and we were welcomed warmly (myself, Lady JDiver and several family members who live in MEX,) with staff falling over themsleves trying to do enough for us. Nice hot snacks, beverages... I've used the Benito Juarez airport Hilton several times - on arrival and connection the following day to busses, for early departures... and it is sometimes so popular it may be difficult finding a low rate when you want to stay there.
Hint: in Mexico, you don't ask for a double bed, you ask for a "matrimonial" bed (CAH-muh mot-ree-moan-ee-ALL.) And non-smoking rooms are often in shorter supply than in the US. And it
is quite acceptable to ask to look at the room first, then agree to it or ask to see others. Mexicans do this all the time - given I was raised there, so do I - it must be cultural
