If your destination is BLR then I see no reason to fly to MAA just for the sake of being on a CX flight. A waste of time (and money) and you will regret it the following day when you have to travel from MAA to BLR. Do keep in mind that there are a few daily train connections between the 2 cities. Rather than spending your time in traffic jams it is more enjoyable to travel by rail at an enjoyable pace allowing you to enjoy the scenery as you move along. Tickets (even 1st cl) are very cheap.
