I did extensive research on this before our trip to Alaska in July. Unfortunately, there are no luxury properties in Seward. The closest (and this is very subjective) is probably Kenai Fjords Glacier Lodge, an all inclusive remote lodge reachable only by boat.
https://www.kenaifjordsglacierlodge.com/ My wife cannot handle the boat ride so we did not stay here, though I considered it anyway. We stayed at Harbor 360 Hotel in a balcony room that had a nice view over the harbor.
https://harbor360hotel.com/ Good location, walkable to some restaurants and shops, but the main area in town is a quick 2 minute ride away. The train station is right next door, and it was fine for what we needed, but it's essentially a renamed Holiday Inn, so temper any expectations. I passed by the Windsong Lodge on the way to Exit Glacier and it looks somewhat like a summer camp. It is outside of town.
There are likewise no real luxury properties in/near Anchorage, other than the two withinthewild properties, though they are fly-in only I think. For an actual hotel, Alyeska is probably the closest to that, but it's 40 minutes away. It is on the way to Seward and I think has a train station in the town. It is probably about an hour and a half by car from Seward.
Hotel Captain Cook seemed to be the best in the actual city.
Welcome - Hotel Captain Cook There was no availability when we were there. There is also a Sheraton (with a spa) but I was not impressed with the area it was in when I drove by. We stayed only one night in Anchorage at the Lakefront Anchorage, due to proximity to the seaplane base for an early morning tour departure we booked. It was average, but I was surprised that it was better than I expected.
