Advice for a newbie please

Hoping for some help from experienced Marriott customers. I am looking to acquire 400k points for future complimentary stays, and looking for the best strategy to do this. I am looking to do with without staying at a Marriott, if possible, and with as little dollars as possible. Here is what I have so far:

· Apply for the SPG AMX card and / or SPG Business AMX card.

o Regular Card has a 75k bonus points offer

o Business Card has a 100k bonus points offer

o Both waive the annual fee for the first year

o Am I eligible to apply for both, and receive bonus points for both?

· Apply for the Marriott Premier card

o 75k bonus points offer

o $95 fee

· Chase Ultimate Rewards

o 50k bonus points offer – are these points transferable to Marriott?

o Annual fee waived first year



Thoughts? Anything I am missing? Do any of these cards run promotions that have higher bonus point offers?
