U.S. BAEC Gold Line

I would try using Skype on your Smartphone since that should work fine. There isn't a specific Gold line except for the UK. Otherwise the USA number is
1-800-AIRWAYS (1-800-247-9297)

You can logout of BA.com (or go Incognito) then use this link to switch country and thus telephone number

I agree that for such a close departure, sorting out at the airport is the best option. I still did provide the OP with the BAEC U.S. Gold Line number I was provided (it is the number listed on the back of my Gold card). It is the +1 (800) 325-XXXX number. When I call that number, I have always been greeted and welcome on the "BA Executive Club for Gold members" line. It is open from 8:00am thru 8:00pm every day EST. Whenever I am outside of those hours, and if the UK BAEC Gold is open, I call the UK line (+44 208 707-XXXX).

Please note that the +1 (800) AIRWAYS is accessible for dialing-in from abroad, while the U.S. Gold Line is not.

Cheers,
