Does the entire travel expense (in this case a cruise) need to be charged on the Costco Visa in order for the travel insurance to kick in? Or is it like Chase CSR where there is insurance coverage even if only a portion is charged to the card? My parents are going on a cruise in December but the initial deposit was paid by their friend on the friend's credit card. My parents will put the remaining balance on their Costco Visa.
