For those of you that frequent this route or have actual numbers how have the load factors been? What do the loads tend to look like that time of year? Next week’s flights look good but I know it’s still a long way out and I don’t know if this is a routing that fills in last minute.
An important thing to understand about load factors is even if you find official data, that load factor may only be PAID seats, not a number which includes non-revs who still occupy a seat. As noted above, seat maps in advance can be poor indicators too as many passengers aren’t eligible for or just simply haven’t selected seats which will be assigned at check-in or by the GA.

Also remember that your wife and kids have no claim to a full row for each of themselves if they look to spread out. A row of 3 may be empty after the door is closed but other passengers may look to spread out too, especially given the duration of the flight, and your kid has no right to a row of three to themselves especially if a passenger in a middle seat looks to move to an open non-middle.
