Had a 2 night stay - booked 3 rooms, 1 was a standard room using points. The trip coincided with a big wedding anniversary and we were traveling with 3 friends. The week prior to the trip, I emailed the GM (thanks whimsey21) I explained our trip and asked if it was possible to get 1 room upgraded to provide us with a space where we could all congregate. He sent back a reply saying they would be glad to provide a 1 bedroom suite as an upgrade and thanked me for my lifetime diamond status. Upon check in, they also upgraded the other 2 rooms to executive status giving us all lounge access and free breakfast either in the lounge or restaurant.
The location of this property is great, directly across the street from the Central station providing easy access to everything. Everything from the staff to the property itself was great. The only draw back was the small crowded lounge which has been talked about up thread, no changes have occurred since the other reports.
BTW, best meal we had was dinner at Fin de Siecle, located on the other side of Grand Place just past the Marriott. Very casual with some very good dishes.
