So I must be really lucky. I was one of the people affected by the recent e-bay data loss and now also the BA one. Luckily nothing odd on my Amex statement so far. Phoned this morning and eventually got through to be told not to do anything. My wife is a senior fraud specialist for a UK Bank and she is surprised they weren't re-issuing cards as that is their practice for data breaches. I am quite glad as starting a complex journey tomorrow and not sure a new Amex card would ever catch me.
