Don't worry about AmEx. They're keeping an eye out for fraud - their phone advice (if/when you get through) is to keep the card and not re-issue it. Some are even getting a recorded message to that effect.
Of course, you can get it re-issued anyway (that function is available online) but it seems like that'll be hassle for nothing.
As for ringing BA ... they don't really know what's fully going on themselves yet so I'm not sure what you'd gain by ringing.
