For me- CSR opened 9/17. 2nd AF hit 9/1/18. Dashboard says my next $300 travel credit begins after Sept statement (9/10). Notice the terms state the credit can take 1-2 billing cycles to post, though this was not the case last year. Can I get the travel credits, downgrade/PC to CFU and avoid the $450 AF? If so, any other complications I should be aware of?
Somebody may have a better answer but you should be able to get the full $450 back...if your travel charges post within 41 days of the statement date where the AF posted - this was the language I got from secure messaging Chase:
XXXX please know that an account is eligible for full
refund of annual membership fee when account product is
changed within 41 days from statement date after annual
membership fee is assessed.
At the very worst, you should get some prorated amount refunded back when you PC
