My understanding is OWV at the new higher price is bookable but GV are currently not bookable! For me it has become quite the farce, I have had a complaint lodged for over 2 weeks which is still not answered! I made at the advice of an agent a paid booking for October that they advise could be converted just after the merger as all GV were vanishing as others did the same. I was then told later this was bad advice, but they listened to the call to verify its correct.

In the 2 weeks since it has been escalated more times than I can think, I have been told they are looking at a solution but the hotel and Marriott don't seem to be able to agree what! They are also aware my prefered travel date was September and in a weeks time now (3 weeks when started) so if they come back to me and say no cant be done or demend a stupid number of points they have left me high and dry with plans! I have never experienced an issue like this historically when it was SPG, if this is how a elevated complaint is dealt with that comes from the Ambassador team to a St. Regis hotel (that I am also considering adding paid nights to once I know if the points booking works) then the future is pretty bleak!

I am starting to feel like the hotel & Marriott are very much just delayng things hoping I will give up on the booking and complaint and just cancel! It is tempting to say I will just stay elsewhere as frankly if this is the servcie standard of St.Regis then it is pretty rubbish! I have decided not to give up however as that would seem like lettnig them get away with it!
