Location: The hotel is located in downtown Reykjavik near a large number of restaurants and bars. You can also easily walk to the main downtown sights, the performing arts center and the cruise terminal. KEF is about a 40 minute drive away. Do note this hotel has no valet parking and no attached garage. There is a lot of street parking nearby. Also note that the Google directions for this area do not take into account closed streets or one way roads so driving around can be a bit of a nightmare.

Hotel: The hotel is very subtle, it's identified only by a small sign at the front door. There's a lovely lobby with a living room feel to it (which also houses a bar) and the GOTT Restaurant just off the lobby which serves breakfast and dinner. In the basement are a fitness center and a sauna. The common areas of the hotel are all lovely and well designed.

Check In: I was very happy to be able to get into my room at 10:45 AM. The agents were friendly and helpful and gave me two bottles of water and a box of chocolates as a Diamond welcome amenity.

Room: Despite being on the 2nd floor and overlooking the street there were no issues with noise. The room had a large king sized bed (which had two twin sized blankets on it which is something I liked as my partner and I didn't steal each other's covers), a large TV which got a number of channels, several closets and a big bathroom. I had no issues with Wifi either.

Breakfast: As a Diamond I was given full breakfast in the restaurant. Each day it had scrambled eggs, bacon, fried eggs, pastries, a half dozen kind of breads, cereal, yogurt and a fancy coffee maker.

The hotel was pricey at 70,000 points a night but it was a lovely hotel and a very good base of operation.
We were there at the same time apparently. We also loved the property. Thought the location/design was just great. And got upgraded to the Ambassador suite which was beautiful.
