I'm in a similar position, I've got approx 60k Avios which I never use and trying to think of what I can use them for. I do like LH to USA quite often, but we often get reward flights from a family member, problem being I get no TP/Avios for this, so I'm just a bronze from work-based SH travel.

However with my TP year reset 9/7/18 I'm back to the start; should have about 70 flights by end of the month, so want to try and use my Avios to get closer to silver this year (with work trips/poss TP run).

Planning going EDI - YYZ in Oct (flex on dates, provisionally 14th - 18th or thereabouts) so wondering if anyone has any recommentations to max the Avios to get the flights cheap as well as get the TPs from this. have seen deals on BA Hols but not sure how the whole TP/Avios redemption/upgrade works.
