Almost all 380s go from T5C. So if you go to the T5B lounge, you are inevitably going to have to walk from T5B to T5C. By that logic, you might as well go to the T5B lounge for every departure, because it's about as far to walk from T5B to T5A as it is to walk from T5B to T5C.

Not all US departures go from T5B: The 380s, for a start, usually go from T5C. And yesterday, 3 out of the 8 JFKs went from T5C.
