First time poster but long term reader. Mr SP9652 and I have just acquired a GUF2 each. Tried to use one to book flights on BA.com to New Orleans at the end of November but couldn't do it. Phoned the gold line and was told that there needed to be reward seats available for the upgrade. This is not clear on the BA site, of course I should have read about it on here. He said there are a lot of CW seats free on the flights we wanted so anticipated some more will be released and so to go ahead and book WT+and keep checking for reward seats. Does anyone know how likely the seats are to be released and when? I realise that the answer may be "how long is a piece of string" but hoped someone has had experiance of this. Not sure the old ticker will be able to stand the suspense of waiting for the seats to appear (or not). Hope the thread title is appropriate.
