We did the package as well and enjoyed it.
A few (non-requested) thoughts on our stay:
1) Regarding the safari, we did one share drive and two private half-day drives. The benefit of the private drive is that you can be in the park for a little extra time than the shared drives, so that was nice, but the viewing itself was not much different. Also, the food that your batman brings into the park for you was fine but basic, this was not a mimosa and omelette bar like we had in Tanzania.
2) We had tent 10 which was the farthest away from the main area, but none of the tents are too far. This was also next to the Sher Bagh boundry. We did not hear any noise, but you may want to ask for suites 1-5 which are on the other side.
3) At the end of one of our afternoon safaris, we did the fort excursion. We were debating not doing this because of how many forts one sees in India, but this was very special and would highly recommend, especically in the afternoon.
Regarding Amanbagh,
To be honest, we largely followed BHRubin's review and agree with most of his comments, but will add a few of my own thoughts:
1) We did the Pratapgarh Fort and added a private yoga lesson there which was great. Overall, if you enjoy yoga I found the Amanabagh instructor to be very good
2) I would also recommend the abandoned city, very unique
3) We also did an afternoon excursion to see some ruined buddihist and hindu temples which were impressive and ended this tour with a sunset prayer at an active hindu temple
4) We skipped the camel tour since a) we played camel polo at amanbagh and b) were not otherwise that into it
5)We took one of the hikes to a resevoir that was dry when we were there. They did not mention this part, so it was pretty boring. Overall, we found the nearby hikes to be fairly boring.
