We found the entire team to be very good at Amanbagh. So the absence of the GM doesn’t worry me there like I know it might elsewhere. The limited lunch and dinner menu was our biggest (and really only) issue there. I still very much recommend the property, especially if you have no other plans to experience much of rural India. I HIGHLY recommend the excursion to Pratapgarh Fort as described in my review, as well as the abandoned temple/city. The Pratapgarh Fort still counts as one of our favorite sites in all of India.
We werent as excited by what Aman-i-Khas had to offer.
I also recommend a drive into the rural countryside outside Udaipur. It was lovely.
