Hyatt has already tried promos like the 500/1000/night promo, and they haven't been successful enough. Moving 40 nights to Hyatt in a 90 day promo period is a LOT of lost opportunity at other chains. A payoff of 60k, or "2 nights at any Hyatt" as the email I got stated it, is not nearly enough of a payoff for moving all that business.
1. If Hyatt doesn't need promos because they are full, why complain about how the promo isn't enough to capture your business? Like you said, they don't really need it.
2. Where is the data on these Priceline/Expedia groups?
