If they will or not, I would still would try. If you get shot down with one agent, try another one, lots of them in PHX. Might help to possibly have more than one reservation on hold for the same flights since an agent can document you are trying to use an expired Future Travel Award. Definitely don't do it after it expires because then you reduce your chances even more. Being in PHX anyhow, HP agents are generally busy for obvious reasons, so perhaps they might overlook that minor detail. In either case, worth a shot. Let us know how you come out.
