Obviously the Four Points suite is much larger, with a separate bedroom and very large bathroom (shower, no tub). The main downside to the suite is exposure to the main arterial road from two sides of the room since the suites are on the corners of the building which is noisy at most hours.

Aloft is not immune to noise as noted above-- there is a mosque nearby that plays prayers on a loudspeaker. Depending on which way your room faces it penetrates the room and is loud. Plus, Jl Wahid Hasyim has constant traffic and lots of street noise, and there are lots of kids playing in the areas around the hotel (lots of residential areas surrounding the building).

Fit and finish level wise, the rooms are similar, both have comfortable enough beds. Aloft is newer but a year in and it's already lost some of the new hotel sheen.

I would say breakfast is slightly better at the Four Points, but the gym is piss poor compared to the Aloft. Even the Aloft is lacking leg machines but otherwise is adequate. The Four Points is little more than a tiny converted conference room. Oh, and there's a pool at the Aloft.

Final consideration: If you're going anywhere by taxi, it might take an extra 15 minutes from the Aloft due to traffic on Jl Wahid Hasyim. Since the Four Points is right on a main artery it's a bit faster to jump on highways.

If gym is not important, and the price is the same, I would go Four Points, or go with whichever is lower. If gym is important then in this category only the Aloft would suffice.
