To add a note that seems to be a peculiarity / unique of Amans , that the guests & team members get to interact frequently ( frequency dependent on GMs , HMs , Executive Chefs , F & B folks , Spa , etcetera ) .

This is perhaps due to the generally small scale of her properties & Aman wants us to be treated as homecoming residents ( often used to their own housekeeping team , chauffeurs , gardeners / groundsmen & such .. ) .
For instance an Aman with 30 suites , the GM makes a great difference to one ‘ s stay and AMANjunkies ( long time ones - less likely those from 20..s ) can attest to the impact .

Those Amans with villas , the VMs are visible too . Puri has more than one , she has to considering the current size .
Puri , being the first & in Asia , has villas to address those needing even more privacy & accommodation for their own entourage / staff & reserving multiple villas is norm .
( As indicated in my TR of another intimate hotel , Huka Lodge , their Owner ‘ s Cottage only has 2 ‘ rooms ‘ meant for staff - governess , security .. , so royals & the like usually do a “ buyout “ )

Also AZ , the founder of Amans , is familiar with what Asian society is accustomed to , not to mention what recently has been exposed by “ Crazy Rich Asians “ too - darn it . Then there is the upper crust life from well .. think of the “ colonies “ .
