Just finished a 5 nights stay on Prive rate booked with the help of Cityguy1.
The resort is very nice. Check in was efficient, and the host offered to escort me to my room.
The room is in great condition with a small private yard in the back. Comfy bed and couch. Plenty of power sockets. The wall may be a bit thin, but luckily my neighbors were not loud.
Within the room, there is not much privacy to talk about. There is no door between the bedroom and the bathroom. The backyard is right outside the shower and you can see it either through the window or the glass on the door to the back yard. It may not be the best idea for two friends to share room here.
Talking about the shower, there are two shower heads plus one handheld in the giant shower room. Practically it is too spacious for one people taking shower alone here, but still..... No temperature control on the water, but the water temperature was perfect for me with decent pressure.
Strangely only one sink (considering the two shower heads) in the super long bathroom table.
Received a big bottle of VOSS sparkling water and some meat jerky (not sure what kind of meat though) as amenity, besides the normal Andaz free non-alcohol drink and snacks (chips, kind bar and toffee. other snacks are not free here).
The $100 resort credit was applied directly at the end of the bill. I had one dinner for about $60. So some resort credit covered part of my room rate as well. This is huge YMMV of course.
They have a house TESLA they can drive you to anywhere within 5 miles radius, but they don't do pick up. So you need to uber or lyft back. I asked about going to the Dessert Botanic Garden, which google map showed as 4.5 mile away. Unfortunately, the host told me it is out of their 5 mile range. However, within 2 min, the host called back saying they will make an exception and took me there. Talking about literally going the extra mile.
The food here are quite good. Some breakfast selection are special. I like the chili pepper they put on the fruit. The dinner menu price is reasonable, with a decent 3-6 PM happy hour.
Due to the forth night free, Hyatt only counted 4 qualifying nights for me instead of the 5. I will wait until the double nights showed in my account and contact Hyatt to see if this can be amended.
