Thanks for the suggestion. I did find all sorts of instructions on Hartmann's web site, none of which work to change the default. "000" was not the default as all of their instructions say it's supposed to be. I figured out what the real default is so I will just use it this way. It's a carry on bag anyway so I'm not sure that I really need the lock anyway.
