I believe the Renaissance Curacao is owned by the same owner and managed by the same third-party management as the Renaissance Aruba. The Renaissance Aruba was the worst Marriott portfolio hotel that I have ever stayed at, not least because they openly lied to three platinum premiers/lifetime platinums (old, pre-8/18 program) and claimed they didn't have to follow any of the rules or provide any of the benefits because they were a franchisee.
