Mine is booked on LH stock because I know it's a hassle, but I have specifically been able to book a 016 ticket with UA codeshares and have the 1K desk convert it to a native flight #. This is supposed to be an approved and documented process, however, agents often do not know it. I think it's also linked in the wiki? In my case, a supervisor had to do it both times with NH.
