Can you update us as to how the aluminum Away is holding up after this time? I have to fly regionals on occasion and am concerned about gate checking and how it will come out on the other side...

According to Away’s website the polycarbonate version has about 48L of space compared to 40L in the aluminum. Did the polycarbonate one feel like it had that much more space?

Do do you use the away garment sleeve that goes inside? If so does this one also clip into the aluminum version?

I primarily travel with at least one suit so I need the garment bag/suiter functionality
When I get home from this trip next week I will try to post some pics of the AL bag. I think I will have at least one or two gate checks happening for it. So far in the past few months I have only had a couple gate checks out of a dozen plus flights so I have been lucky.

I am currently on a two week trip and this has all of my clothes in it aside from a jacket I keep in my laptop bag for easy access (I am a bit of a light packer though). I have a garment sleeve that is similar to Away's that I use so it doesnt clip into it, but it does fit nicely. Heres a $20 off link - http://ow.ly/HTIz50wHvTl

I think the poly did have some more space but it didnt seem like a TON more. Heres a couple side by side pics:
