Hi everyone,

I wanted to get clarification on booking multi-carrier awards. It is my understanding that you can book these with mixed cabins, however, I'm not sure how these price out. Searching FT, i've found two different interruptions on how this works.

A) Your award will price out to the class in which a majority of the miles are flown.
B) Your award will price out to whatever class the longest flight is booked in.

I am looking to do the following itinerary, IAD-HKG-SIN // PEN-KUL-BKK-HKG-IAD using a combination of CX, MH, and RJ flying a mixed configuration of Y and J. There are two questions that I have

1) Which of the above statements is correct?
2) If statement B is correct, I will be flying IAD-HKG and HKG-IAD on this award, both are equal distance, which flight (outbound or inbound) would qualify as the "longest" in that definition?

I'm trying to see which of these flights I'd be able to book in J while only paying the Y price (if that's even possible)

Thanks in advance.
