Now I just did an UuA on a return LHR-OSL from Economy to CE, but in manage my booking it shows I will earn 20 tier points instead of what I thought would be 80? Is there a different mechanic on short-haul or is it a mistake? If a mistake, can I call BA and ask to fix it?
No, you are supposed to earn Avios and TPs for the original cash fare ("the original selling fare") even after you have UuAd. Sometimes there can be an error in your favour, but an error is what it is.
