In this particular case that mantra worked for you serpens, but for the benefit of others let's emphasise that ignorance is notbliss when it comes to ticketing changes. Many people find themselves caught out when they change their booking and everything looks correct in Manage My Booking, with the same booking reference (PNR). What they don't realise is their new ticket hasn't been issued, so they in fact have no ticket to travel. Finding this out at the airport is never good.

As such the advice is always to check in MMB that you have an e-ticket number showing for your flights after any change. If in any doubt ask on here/call BA.
