Interesting... if you look up, say #150 ORD-CDG 10/24 - which uses this plane sans PE, you'll see a different relative pricing scheme. I have never noticed whether there really was a different seat pitch, but doubt it, on same row. I'm thinking AA's wording of something like "...up to..." so many inches allows them this.
