I appreciate all of the advice. It sounds like the train may be a bit too much hassle. Probably leaning towards just sticking with a flight into AMS at this point. If we had a layover at LHR or some other airport but it was all on the same airline would we have to clear security/customs twice or would it just be a gate change? I just want to have something somewhat comfortable so trying to avoid economy if possible.
