I have filed a complaint with Emirates. the only thing I can think of that they could bring up is the issue of separates tickets and the fact that they could not check my onward flight from IKA. Would you have an idea of the chances for a positive outcome? and in general is there somewhere in the forum that is dedicated to Complaints?
