SFO based EXP flyer here too! Boy do I miss VX!! Never was into UA unless I really had to fly 'em!

My patterns of flight have me going right into the thick of things as I'm often my destination is PHL, MIA or DFW. My purchases tend to be in the 5-10 day period so either I'm getting an F ticket if the cost differences isn't much or I'm happy with my exit row seat options. And when I am in Y, I notice that I tend to be 1-5 on the upgrade list. When I'm closer to the top, I tend not to get it it seems. And that's fine with me as I'm have that exit row aisle and am content.

I was just wondering this week how may EXP have "given up" on upgrades and just buy premium cabin seats outright and just are happy to bank the extra miles and bonuses. I know I've been pretty happy with the growth of my account balance for the last two years as an EXP. Will cross over to EXP on Monday as I'm off to MIA in paid J.
