As an SQ fan for 15 years twice a month in J, I was disappointed with the new J seats on the A380. While I liked the additional privacy they offer, they have significantly less leg room than the old seats. And yes, bulkhead row 91 legroom is still compromised. Also noticed many were having problems with the recline function. The stewardesses were constantly manually adjusting seats. I was also disappointed with the seat control buttons. Frustrating, with no tactile feel and not intuitive or responsive. 2016 773R seats are still the best.

Based on what I read about the F seats, I think SQ has mucked up the seat design for the new A380. It’s a pity. It was an opportunity to re-establish SQ’s lead in cabin product. Instead, for the first time, Qantas’ J seats are better than SQ’s. It’s a shame.
