Bumping the thread: while back in HK last month I took a guest to visit the Temple St. Night Market and they found some really nice paintings to bring home - stupid me, I wasn't prepared with cash and with my itinerary going back to Tokyo, I didn't want to carry them around. I need about 10-12 or so for our new house, so I am planning a 1 day/1 night stop in HK on my way to Taiwan this fall so I can pick up the paintings, most of which I think were "retailing" for about HKD250 or so, and he was able to get about half off that for buying 3, plus a carrying tube to bring them home. Many of the Temple St vendors seemed to carry similar pieces, so I assume they are mass produced on the mainland.

So, outside of the Temple St market where I will probably end up going, are there any other current locations anyone can recommend for this type of very low cost, but nicely done, bright, colorful painting? When I was at Temple St, there were some very nicely done works with local scenes, general landscapes, etc. - I don't need anything that is really "Asian or Chinese"-centric.
