I always like the Dearborn Inn, which is also about 15 minutes away. It is the original airport hotel - built in the 1920s across the road from Henry Ford's airport (now the Ford test track). It is definitely not a run-of-the-mill Marriott...classy public areas, nice grounds and landscaping, rooms with high ceilings and big windows.
