It hasn't been free for check in/out for years. I guaranteee that you will be charged. The cost is about $25 per person. It's only free in the morning and early afternoon. The free shuttle is NOT for check in/out regardless of time. If you are unsure of the answer you are given here, just email the hotel and ask them.
