That's the same way I view the two of them. I have more stays in the SGS (70-80ish against 20-25ish) and I like the GHE but with top tier status in both my personal preferences put the SGS a couple of notches higher than the GHE.
I will add another option that seem to be overlooked. InterContinental across the street is exceptional, and also has a history behind it that dates back a long time before IC management and the current building was built. Excellent Ambassador/Royal Ambassador recognition, club lounge, room comfort, and F&B.
