Sometimes I'll hear my phone ring (from the overhead locker) shortly after take-off, or before landing, followed by a 'Hello are you there' from my shirt pocket (sometimes it's my trouser pocket, wherever I stuffed the headset before the flight).

So what you are saying is you don't bother to turn your phone off as instructed?

Are you to lazy to bother to stupid to understand the request or to arrogant to think it isn't aimed at you?

Although we can debate the logic of the ban in flight it is still in place so just comply.
