Before INN had ILS, diversions was common, and MUC was the place. Have been on a lot of ski-charters, and they were always prepared for MUC. The bus driver always checked before leaving the ski-report where to go. Another problem with INN is that during winter, it is very crowded so delays/bad weather can get a knock-on effect on the ground-ops (lack of space), but the terminal was also extended years back which improved this.
