Question Has any of you seen this kind of FA onboard CX J cabin?

Hi guys,
I am still scratching my head thinking about my recent experience with CX.

I was onboard CX271 to Amsterdam on August 2 in business cabin. I was on 17K. There was something that I noticed was a bit out of ordinary. There was a young man that I estimated can't be older than 30 and I took the liberty to assume that he is from Mainland China because ISM, SP, and J1 addressed him in Mandarin. Anyway, he was wearing white shirt (short sleeve though), black tie with red stripes, black pants, and black shoes. He was not wearing the usual light olive green vest worn by male FAs and also he was not wearing name badge. Appearance wise he stood out because clearly what he wore was the outlier.

Based on his tie colour, I suspect he is a flight purser or a service leader (please correct me if i am wrong). However, based on how he interacted with the passengers and other FAs and how he dressed, I was thinking he's more akin to an intern. But why put an intern or a very junior FA in business cabin?? He was smiley and giggly all the time but more in a nervous way. His delivery was not very polished either.. I can tell he knows the procedures and his actions were well-meant however the execution was borderline hysterical. For example, during boarding, he went to every seat on the right aisle and introduced himself so fast many passengers were actually confused as to what he was doing. "Hellomynameisxxxxxi'llbeservingyoutonightpleasedo nthesitatetoaskifyouneedanything" in one stroke of breath. SP was still in row 12 when he was done with all seats in right aisle. He was running, like literally running with the newspapers cart, he was running to fetch hot towels. He's like a runner in a restaurant kitchen. Supervisor or Senior Purser performed dinner service with the carts and he would be running back and forth to SP or SL and given commands like "get me more champagne" or "i need 10 more entree reheated".

Has any of you seen this type of FA?
