Thanks for the post.

I apologize in advance to the TSA, LEO, and govt. folks here, because I know this is slightly irrational late-night rage after reading this article, and I know that 90% of you are just doing your jobs.

But the only apprropriate recourse I can think of in this situation is that the husband should be allowed state-sanctioned punching of the people that were involved in this situation. That's right; he should get to punch them in the mouth--from the screeners who lied about the incident to the cop that did him a "favor" to the prosecutor to the ACLU who wouldn't help him because he's not black or muslim. When someone assaults your wife/family and then treats you (and by extension her and your young family) that way for questioning it or coming to her emotional defense--there's few greater insults. Losing their jobs isn't good enough for these folks. My God what has become of this country.

Absolutely disgusting. And completely relevant rather it was 2 weeks ago or 2 years or 20 years ago. This is exactly the sort of thing I want my future kids to read 20 years from now when they are learning about history and civil rights, and I want them to relate it to what they've read about Nazi and DDR Stasi operations. And that's the first time on this board I've compared any element of the US government to those types.
