I'm sure BA does very, very well on SJC given it's proximity to Silicon Valley (much of which lies on the southern part of the area between SFO and SJC). South Bay has a higher population than SF / E Bay too. And believe, me the traffic on 101 connecting those 30 miles make it seem far, far more than that on any given day especially between 6-10a and 3-8p. Someone who would have to travel from say, Los Altos or Milipitas to SFO to catch the LHR flight is probably thrilled they can just goto SJC because it might save them up to three hours on the round trip between traffic and security lines.
