DL's marketing department notwithstanding, it's a premium
economy product.
And most airlines do 2-4-2 on the 350. I think there are only a couple of exceptions. They ALL do 2-4-2 on the wider 777/747/380s.
But I hear you about the difficulty of making that decision now.
But the upside of having that empty seat is much greater than the downside of it not being empty (as compared to being in the aisle on the 2-side), that even if you weight the probability 20%/80% I'd probably chance the center block aisle.
