On ba.com you have..

Earning with our partners
You will earn Tier Points* when you fly with our oneworld(TM) partner airlines. The number of Tier Points you earn will depend on the distance flown. The table below should be used when travel does not originate, transit or terminate in the UK. For example, if you are flying between New York and Boston (less than 2,000 miles) on American Airlines you will earn 20 Tier Points, if travelling in an eligible economy fare.

Economy/Business Class/First Class

Flights less than 2000 miles 20/40/60

Flights more than 2000 miles 60/120/180

If you need to know the QF mileages, they can be found via qantas.com.au and the frequent flyer pages. As a general rule, the only domestic sectors that fall into the 2000+ are SYD/BNE/CNS to PER. The Canberra to Perth is giving me a headache as I cannot get the site to quote at the moment and it is not on my spreadsheet. It is around 1920 but you should check if it is necessary (or stuff it and go via SYD anyway). New Zealand is not close enough to worry you as they are all around the 1600 mark.

If you are going for the status points off LAX, consider going via HNL or AKL as the flight is much longer than the 2000 miles.LAX to HNL is about 2550 so you get the double status points for the long haul whereas just via AKL you get the one-third bonus.

For tier point booking codes try

If you are coming back straight out of Oz, remember to split the flights or codeshares on the way home for the same bonus reasons. You could always try SYD-PER-HKG-BAH then buy the £170 DOH return in club for the long haul ex-London status points and just stay on the aircraft as it routes BAH-LHR. However, I play silly games like that route on the 1W site, not here.

Hope this is of use...
